And then there were two.. 1976 GT250 Rebuild

Good job! Ain't no little bolt gonna slow you down ;) That bike is going to be a blast to ride. I had a GT380, maybe some of the parts are interchangeable. If your looking for something, let me know, I may have it.

Yip yip yahoo! Good job! (Dang you had to mention ordering new copper washers... I forgot to do that for mine.)

Haha that little bolt did slow me down.... for about a week actually.... =/ I think it will be fun. I've had it for years, and the plan is to re sell it once it's all together, but idk if I'll be able to let it go. It's already growing on me again haha

Haha I don't usually get new copper every time. I usually just flatten em with a fine file or oil stone, but I figured since I put in an order with suzuki, I had might as well just go ahead and spend the extra few bucks and get new gaskets.

Success ;D Yeah ! alright now ;)
That extractor is big enough so it wouldn't break;the threads on that old bolt look like they had a few coats of loctite w/o anyone ever cleaning'em off previously.

Yup, clean off the old Loctite first, but PLEASE don't buy your new stuff at the hardware store! ;D

Anyway, It proves what we were telling your Mrs the other night, those extractors are something you rarely use, but if you need 'em nothing else works. I sure hope everything else on the little beast isn't as stubborn as that one was.

I like the medium strength blue loctite

Yeah, it's easier to always blame the guy before me, but that Allen head was stripped before I got to it, so I'm sure there was plenty of stuff gooped on the threads as well. It even took using the impact on the extractor to get er broke loose.

Haha I was gonna make a special trip to Bucyrus True Value just for loctite haha guess I'll just have to go to ANY hardware store =)

I'm hoping the rest doesn't fight me like that bolt either. So far that's been the worst. (Knock on wood)

In other news, the shop got another companion. Had her in storage at my parents place for the winter. Kinda a chilly ride over here tonight.

Haha she isn't SECRETLY wondering. I have a few more bikes, but I don't think many more will fit in there.

Looks like a kz900 master cylinder will do the trick. Built well for $50. Heck a rebuild kit is $40... why not spend another $10 and get a brand new one. S.S. brake line and caliper rebuild kit on the way soon.

Got it looking like at least half-a-roller =) weather is getting warmer, and I hope this thing is spewing blue smoke before the end of the riding season!
