I'm Paul from Australia, way down south on a little island known as Tasmania (Home of the Tassie devil). I recently aquired this little bike for $2000 Aussie dollars. It had trouble starting, barely ran and looked a bit tired. I have since fixed the timing, cleaned petcock and polished as much of the tarnish and rust that I can.
It now starts and idles with a simple push of the button has clubman bars and a new rear tyre. I plan on it being a rolling rebuild, as in I'll be riding it between doing mods.
I'm not sure how to post pics between paragraphs so I just started this reply...... ;D
The following pics are the inspiration for my build. I plan on under seat exhaust, stretched tank, solo hump and classic half fairing with an offset head light. Kind of modern meets classic cafe!
Good luck with the exhaust, that inspiration bike looks killer! Not sure how feasible an under seat exhaust is though with the 4 cylinder bikes as you can't tuck the headers easily into the motor like you can the twins.
Edit: just noticed you've got a twin (I'm an idiot). Looking forward to that exhaust then
After some tinkering and hours of polishing, this is where I'm at. I still need to remove the side covers from the engine and polish those. The engine is a crappy black, but I'll leave it for now.
