Nope, Benjy's doesn't seem to have what I need...at least I couldn't find it if they did. Boy, do they build some beautiful bikes! Their exhaust systems are among the nicest I've ever seen, but I would have to take out a 2nd mortgage to afford one!
What I am looking for is a pair of peashooter mufflers that instead of being straight and about 26" long.......these would be about the same overall length but are dog legged in and down to meet the header pipe. If you look closely at the peashooters in the picture; the bend I'm describing is actually in the muffler itself'
Hope someone can help me out on this........or, at least, confirm that I'm crazy and these parts don't really exist!!

That exhaust system looks specific to that bike. I'll bet it's custom made.

You might be right, J....although I have seen similar mufflers in other bike pics.....I'll try to dig up some more pics.....you or someone else may recognize the bike or builder...
Thanks for your help!

Speedfiend: DC Cycles sells those, also. Using one of those will give the first set of bend that I need but not the total effect.

Chilli: Nice site! Lots of beautiful pipes with both short and long versions of the peashooter available in 3 levels of quality to choose from. Their stuff is great but it's expensive and that's before you ad in the shipping to the US. They, regrettably, don't have what I need.

I think maybe using something like a doubled version of the "triumph bend", coupled with a short version of the peashooter might be the answer. I'm attaching a picture of the "new" Norton where you can clearly see that there is something like the Triumph bend coming off the header pipe, but then there is a distinct angled bend in the front part of the peashooter as it connects to the triumph bend. I'd try getting a pair from Norton but even if they would sell them to me, they would probably cost about $1200/pair.
We have a guy over on the xs650 forum, Gordon, who is a wizard with bending stainless steel. He makes several different styles of exhaust headers for our XS650s. If I can mock up an idea of what I need, he might be able to knock out a set for me that I could use with the short peashooters.
Thanks, guys, for your help and ideas!
