Any cyclists out there? Mountain, Road, Cross, etc.?

Riding a Puglsey as an all-around bike must take legs like tree trunks and the pain tolerance of a rhino.

Glad you're diggin' it...

Hahaha ;D

Dude, really not as bad as they look. You'd be surprised. Honestly. In saying that, they're obviously not the most efficient rides out there but they are pretty darn good and again, an absolute RIOT.

What they do is make you ride at a "fun" pace as opposed to absolutely hammer it out all day long which is typical of most when on other whips. Not to say you can't do that on a fat bike if you want to but, that's when those big rollers get noticed.

Try one out. They are awesome. 8)

Wow you guys have some really nice bikes! Here's my modest Devinci Silverstone SL4. It's my first road bike, just picked it up this past spring.

Shopping for flights. Plan is to fly to Amsterdam March 28-29, go show the little ladies to friends, go watch Ronde van Vlaanderen on March 31, head to Mallorca on April 1 for a week or so. Then fly to the fatherland on April 8-9 and back to Amsterdam on April 19 and back home on April 20 or 21.

Cycling planned for Mallorca and doing the first racing weekend on April 13-14. Three full weeks away from work will be a stretch, but I'm getting these old man things that I need to take these breaks from the grind. Awesome thing would be to do the Tourist Ronde. Seeing the Ronde around Koppenberg and then Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg loop would be fricking awesome. Just need to make sure the rental car has automatic transmission so the wifey can drive my drunken ass around....or better yet....leave the wife with kids shopping in Gent and ride my bike around for a day and enjoying short stubby Belgian blondes.

Would the cyclist folks be interested in DTT Strava club? Or I suppose runners could join as well.

If I need to get a few groceries, go to the bank or auto parts store or visit someone I often use a bicycle to save money on gas. The exercise is a bonus.

I like mountain bikes because they don't get flats as easy as bikes with skinny tires, very practical and easy to ride and with a little maintenance you should never have to buy another bike for the rest of your life.

My mountain bike is a cheap one with no suspension which I bought close to 20 years ago. I used to have a nicer one with front and rear suspension which was very cushy to ride but someone took it out of my garage, maybe someday I will find another one used somewhere.

When I was young I tried racing a bicycle and it was pretty much bullshit. I really don't care how fast I or anyone else can go on a bicycle, and if someone is more concerned with what kind or style of bicycle they have than it's utility then I really don't care to know them.

Ha ha but you've the balls to do the ton on a Norton, big man. Whatta puss.

I haven't any pics but my bike is a Schwinn Varsity with triathalon and aero bars. I have a neighbor who rode by on a Surly longbike the other day and it sure looks like a lot of fun.

I raced MTB when I was in high school, but I was never really good at it. Sure was fun though.

What is the correlation between thinking bicycle racing has no real merit and having fun going fast on a machine, a motorycle? Right, as usual with your jabs there is no relevance.... Pour yourself another big cup of Duh..........

The easiest parallel I can saw at this point is that they both appear to fall into the category "things a pissy man goes on about rather than making any useful contribution to an otherwise mostly entertaining forum"

I raced bmx on a national level untill i was in my mid 20's and i.was.virgina.no.1 for ywo years in.a.row. but i would.give up all the.fame today to.fuck.nortonguy in the face with a bat

Sometimes "style of bike" and utility go hand in hand: different needs - different bikes.

Curious; why do you always feel the need to express your opinions in such a way that paints you out to be a douche? I'm all for respecting other's opinions but you seem to really like to state things in a barbed sort of fashion. It's kinda funny after a while; it's expected! Are you just trolling or are you really like that all the time?

Pretty sad if you are.

Correct, but if someone is using a certain style of bike not for it's intended use, but as a fashion accessory, like a very large percentage of respective populations do, then those are the fakes or posers right? And I would rather spend my time with genuine people. That is the point I made, which you and others as usual miss. But that is okay I am used to people missing points made even though it is in their native language.

And that brings us back to the Cafe "racer" scene, where a large percentage of that population is more interested in fashion, the "look" of their bike and posing in Village People costumes than in speed and tuning.

So no takers on Strava?

I mis-use bicycles, motorcycles, tools and few other items all the time.
