Anybody know anything about KL250's (1978)?

Been Around the Block
Just picked up a project bike- 1978 Kawasaki KL250 dual sport. I know Kawasaki used a similar-looking 250 for a lot of different bikes, so I'm hoping parts won't be a problem.

I haven't been able to locate a technical forum that has good info (like kzrider, etc). Anyone know where I can find a factory service manual?

It's a pretty cool old bike- tons of character and hopefully some life left...

Thanks

Thanks buddy. :'(

Anyone else?

Just got done unloading it- this one's a basket case- parting it out on ebay. I knew that might be the case, but the price was so low I couldn't turn it down either way. Oh well, I'll make a little $ and roll it over to the next project, whenever that happens...

Might try to get it running after all- lack of personality and all.

I'm really liking some of the dual-sport builds on here. Plus, I can't imagine another bike showing up on C/L for $100 in my area.

It's mostly complete, only 6500mi on the odo, but has obviously been beat on and half-repaired.

I'll put the time into rewiring it, adjusting valves, cleaning the carb, etc. If that goes nowhere, it's getting parted out.

I guess I'll see what happens...

I gotcha man. I do appreciate the tips. That thought has run through my head more than once today- just part it out and be done with it.

I got to thinking about what I would end up with in the best case and it just really isn't worth the effort.

Solid advice man, thank you!
