I pity you poor bastards!! I'm holing up in Moab tonight on my way to visit family in NM, and felt like a drink. What the hell is wrong with Mormons? 3.2% beer?? State liquor stores for anything stronger??!? Not impressed! At least it's only one night!

Ah true! There's the silver lining I'm looking for.

The 3.2% is by volume, not weight, so it works out about the same. Dumb, but makes the "majority" feel like they have control of us. You are really missing the point if you are going to party. Sorry.

It is the wrong time of year, but you should explore around Moab. You have Arches national park, which is sensational. Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands, etc. all within a few minutes. It the most beautiful riding you have ever seen. I feel very fortunate to be a couple of hours away.

You just have to learn like everyone who lives here, carry a flask. :D

And it has the salt.

This kind of thing goes on and on.

Yeah Makr, Moab does have a real nice vibe to it. Wish I had time to explore some of the surrounding area. I've always loved the desert...definitely need to come back here, flask in hand! Hah.

Really nice pics Wingspan!

This is my favorite view in Utah. In fact its my only view of Utah! Come in from Nevada, into Utah, onto the salt and leave the same way. But not to worry. We have plenty of Mormon missionaries down here. If you can't get to Utah. Utah will come to you!

My wife is from Albuquerque, I've only been there a few times. The desert and mountains are quite a site to see compared to here in Orlando. Great pics Wingspan.

It does take a little getting used to, there are no bars, just "private clubs" that require a current member to sponsor you to join, then you have to pay a buck or two as a membership fee. One of the craziest things I experienced in Utah was walking in to my friends bathroom and seeing his "porn" collection, Mormon porn is implied, sure the girl is naked but she is behind a veil with a light source behind her, so all you get is a silhouette. Have some great memories from Salt Lake City though.

:rofl Never heard of "Mormon Porn". I need to check this out. My sister in her youth worked at a video rental place where one poor sap rented a instructional breast feeding video once a week. I am sure male sexual frustration is not exclusively a Mormon thing though.

We don't have the silliness of private clubs anymore. WooHoo!!!!

Well I haven't been back in a few years now, its a bit disappointing that I'm not a member of dozens of special drinking fraternities in Salt Lake, back to mediocrity. Another thing that surprised me is that my friends self-censored their magazines. They had some zines that had oddities(like pictures of road kill) and titties sporadically in them and they took a sharpie and blacked out anything they found obscene. That was a bit odd.

I spent about four hours in the air port. I was stunned to look at the smoking booth and see how yellow the walls were compared to the walls outside the booth!

Yo just searched and found this. Moved out to SLC about 2 months ago. I am VERY non mormon and I love it so far! There are plenty of bars and booze is easily found! the hard stuff is pretty pricey but other than that not too much different than NY where I came from.

I live in Sugarhouse which has a pretty young college crowd which has made the move much easier for me. I have seen a few cafe bikes ripping around, im usually not on my bike when I see them though. Would def be cool to get some ppl together, tear up a canyon, then gets some food and drinks. Any one interested feel free to PM me.

I have a vacation house up in Cedar City, UT. Going there next week as a matter of fact. Gonna take the bike and ride around Zion.

I also live in utah, SLC more specifically! I am getting my bike straightened out this winter. I would love to see some meets or at least a few bikes all in one location. If anyone knows of any coming up pm me!

I'm in SLC- good to see some Utah folks alive in here!

By the way- How do you all work out safety inspections? Anyone running antique plates to get around them? I'm an '81, so I could either do vintage plates and no inspections, or do normal plates and have to go through yearly inspections. So I'm thinking of going vintage. Thoughts?
