Anybody make a vintage leather jacket w/ armor?

Call Of Doodie

Been Around the Block
I'd really like to get a more vintage looking leather jacket - I'm talking more the late '60s or '70s sporty/cafe racer style, maybe with stripes, rather than the Marlon Brando look here - to use when riding the cafe bike, but none that I've found yet have the elbow/shoulder/back armor that I want. River Road makes some that have the look, but no armor.
Has anybody got one, or run across anything like this?
TIA -

All excellent suggestions - thanks.
Unfortunately, I've decided I want stripes. ::)
Since I'm obviously painting myself into a corner with that, I'm wondering if I could find a shop that would add them to one of those jackets for me.

Thanks for the link.
Just fell in love with the Alpinestars Velocity jacket, only to find they're not making them anymore, and it appears that the entire world is out of my size with the white stripes. :-\

You're looking into a pretty limited category of stuff. You could check a bunch of Vanson's other models with stripes, and/or get them to make a custom, which is their thing. You've gotta pay the price and the wait time, though.

Bates also does custom jackets.

If you want a stock jacket customized, this place has a good rep but I don't know anything about them personally. http://www.insurrectionvintage.com/
