Anyone else seen the new café Guzzi yet?

I love the looks of this one too, only problem is it isn't much of a racer, it only puts out 45 hp and is heavy. My little 450 puts that much power out and weighs about 150 lbs less.

Yeah... they also do a 33hp version?!

Seriously... how do you get that little power out of a 750cc?

will it available in the states? The BIG draw back to Moto Guzzi V7's, you really cannot do much modding on them. They're really restrictive and often times will require some hacking to make things works. Big draw back for folks who like to tinker, great bike for those who are hands off

So buy this:

All show, very little go.

They handle well though from what Ive read. Pretty bike, but when its putting out less power than a 70s Honda, and weighs 150lbs more... Eh.

Not to mention the pricetag.

Just for reference... the aircooled, pushrod, Vtwin, HD 883 puts out 40hp.
There's only so much you can do with that technology.

I'd ride one if somebody gave it to me. But if I were buying... doubtful.

The more companies that start manufacturing cafe-ready/street-fighter-ready bikes, is going to bring down the "scene" IMO, and will only continue to deindustrialize(sp?) people/will make people who just want to "bought not built" happy. Basically, the bikes that are coming out look amazing, but no ones going to modify them like "we" do, they'll just do bolt-ons or leave it stock and upgrade it from the factory, and will then on just take it to a factory service place to be taken care of. Hard to explain what i'm trying to say, I guess i'm a fan of the bike itself, but eventually no ones going to fix or work on anything besides "technicians" because the World is building shit now so that No One can maintain it themselves, leaving everyone to rely and only know to take their cars/bikes/trucks to "service stations" E.G. Jiffy Lube, Valvoline, dealerships, etc. which = lame.

I'm not saying that Anyone on this forum has done this yet, but the 90's and newer kids are mostly raised to remember to maintain their vehicle by taking it to a mechanic/service shop. Not "pick up some tools, buy the tuneup parts you need, fix/maintain the vehicle" and with that happening, tons of people will never be "ignited" into gearheads likes us.

On the bright side, a few of us who will always do stuff ourselves, will eventually never have to worry about having work.

I apologize if this in any way comes off as a rant, and I thumbs up the Guzzi.

It's funny how they say ".......only 48.8 hp, but has a beautifully constructed frame".

What a shame.

I was born 91, I much prefer to do things myself rather than send it to the shop. That being said I know my limits, if I've had my go at it and things don't turn out, I'll call my mate, he'll give me a hand and if that doesn't work then I go to the shop. I like doing my own body work and am always keen to hit up the scrap yards when I've got someone to go with. So I want to disagree with the statement that us who are born in the 90s are all brought up to send things into the mechanic.

Came across this race bike the other day at the track. Wonder what it pushes out?

Guzzi's generally are slower bikes.

I have seen a supercharger made by a German company for them. Ill try and source it and post up the link.

You'll notice that before I go into that statement, that I specifically say "I'm not saying Anyone on this Forum does this.."

Also, not being rude by any means, but one person, who I applaud for working on things themselves for the education and accomplishment, isn't enough imo to change my mind on the "general" outlook of people in present time. "It's easier to just have someone else do it."

Ben Part' s Zagato Guzzi and the lovely Katrien. Built not bought Moto Guzzi cafe racer.

Super not yuck! That's just about everything I love in a home built bike. Not much of a mono shock fan, but that's just me. That bike looks well loved.
