Me and a few others are looking to take a bike trip up that way. Looking for advice on roads and RV sites.

Any help is appreciated ;)

I use to rent cabins at Lake Catherine State Park just outside Hot Springs. They have old cabins right on the lake built in the 30's and duplex "cabins" built in the 60's or so. The old ones are really cool and have a kitchen, living room with fireplace, and bedroom. They use to be $30/night but were up to about $70/night last time I checked.

There's also the largest North American natural diamond mine about an hour west from there if you like to dig in dirt. I didn't find anything when I went but people do.

My daughter goes to college about 45 miles from there. So we go to HS when we visit (to shop of course). ;D The switchbacks going up the hill in the park downtown are EPIC. Traffic is sucky near the racetrack (horses).
I don't know about lodging because it was always a day-trip.

I've heard the "Pig Trail" is interesting too.
I'm waiting on a Mad Map of the area, to see what they have to say about it also.

That link I posted earlier has a little info on the Pig Trail on the "things to do" tab. The Pig Trail is pretty amazing, but it depends on how far you want to ride. I just did some figuring on google maps, and if you ride from Hot Springs, through Ozark, all the way to Fayetteville, it should take just over 4 hours, one-way. It would be a beautiful ride, though. It would take you through two nat'l forests and two or three different mountain ranges. If you like wine, there are two or three wineries near Altus, about half-way between Hot Springs and Fayetteville. There are a few good restaurants in that area, too.

I'm in Shreveport. If you stop around here, I can definitely point you towards plenty of dive bars and casinos.

If you make it all the way north to Fayetteville, dinner/drinks is on me.
