Anyone in the Cleveland area up to lending their expertise? (Welding)

Coast to Coast
So I got this bike about two weeks ago in a trade. I've broken it down for powder coating and will probably be ready to put it together next week. I'm pretty much learning as I go and will probably run into some snags down the road. Would be awesome if there was someone local (Cleveland) that would be willing to give me a hand at certain points, mainly when I get to wiring it up and getting it tuned up. If not, no worries, I know it is asking a lot. Of course I'd return the favor in the future if you ever need another set of hands on a project.

Where you at in Cleveland?

Re: Anyone in the Cleveland area up to lending their expertise?

I'm in Ohio City. The bike is stored at my friend's loft currently on east 40th and St. Clair. I can always bring the bike wherever though, so people aren't going out of their way for me.

I should also note that I'm not looking for a mechanic to take my bike to, as I'm trying to learn as i go, but am actually looking for someone who wouldn't mind giving me a hand with it as needed. Like I said, if someone would need an extra set offhand in their project, I'm more than willing to help. I'm also a graphic designer, so if that could be useful, then even better.

i'd be willing to help you out here and there. I have very little expertise but i think that is a cool bike and would like to see how it comes along and could use a brother in arms when it comes to drinking crappy beer and wrenching on old hondas

Re: Anyone in the Cleveland area up to lending their expertise?

Hey, me too. I'm not an expert but love bikes and can wrench. And you're just a few miles down the block from me.

Re: Anyone in the Cleveland area up to lending their expertise?

Hey guys. I forgot about this thread. I actually found someone and we've been wrenching every Monday night on my CB650. I've learned a lot from him. We are currently finishing up the wiring on the bike and will hopefully have it up and running soon. I'm definitely excited.

One thing that I've learned from this build is that I would like to learn how to weld. If anyone has any free time and would want to teach me the art of welding I'd be forever grateful. I'd also be willing to pay you for your time if you need it. I just want to learn basic fabrication type welding for stuff like seat pans and making my own bits and pieces, not so much structural stuff yet. Thanks!

I am currently building a CB350, my husband is a welder and would be happy to teach you if you would be willing to help with the wiring/electrical on my bike. Let me know if you are interested.

I don't think I'd be the person to do the wiring on your bike. Sure, I can solder and all that but I'm still VERY new when it comes to bike wiring.
