Since I'm not so hot in the woodworking area, I've considered building one of the ebay tele kits. These on the site, though, are awesome and being built from scratch makes them all the better.

The one with the diamond plate must weigh a ton... sort of like a Les Paul.

I'll attempt one in the future, but the amount of work that just goes in to the neck is amazing!

I am a TDPRI member. Been on there for a year: Scantron81

I split my time between here and there. That place is the telecaster guitar version of DTT.

Telecasters and Honda CB's are similar. Basic, nearly unbreakable workhorses with timeless designs that never go out of style.

Well shoot... I built my own strat inspired guitar... I will have to post pictures when the light is a bit better... nothing special, but it shreds. here is a quick teaser, a little dusty but there nonetheless...

Flat textured black (like a bedliner almost) rosewood fretboard, seymour duncan pickups, custom wiring...
