I found a picture of this YZ426 that was customized to a semi-cafe style bike, and would love more info. or pictures of it. If anyone knows anything about it, please chime in.
Yeah not diggin the whole "hill climber" look the extended (or is it really? maybe just cause the tail is so damn short) swinger is giving it... plus, it makes my taint ache just looking at it.. That may be lust, but it also may just be pain from the skant seat it has..
looks like that framework holding the seat on would snap right off. Pretty small diameter tubing. I am sure its fine but it would make me nervous riding it.
Well, it certainly is his style... Badass no matter how you slice it. And don't you think motocross bikes are a great platform for a cafe racer? So light and simple to begin with... I'm sold.
Imagine an older two stroke YZ490 being used as the base for a stripped out little cafe racer. A lot of the tarmac hillclimb boys over here use them because of their out of the box power and acceleration, they take a bit of taming and probably aren't a novices bike LOL
Well, if anyone is interested, I finally found out where this bike came from. An Ohlins employee built it. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.212329575491332.52610.184047524986204&type=3
