Anyone riding a larger than stock front tire?

If so, how does it affect handling? I have a cb360. I really like the look of running the same size tire on the front and back. Any feedback?

I went from the stock 3.50 rear/ 3.00 front, to running 4.00 on front and rear. I will be going back to stock. It looks sweet but really killed the power on my cb350f. it handles fine. If you have a bigger cc bike it will most likely be fine. I'm not saying this is a fact, i'm just telling you this from my personal expirience. Good luck!

Thanks for the response! I'm not sure how much it will affect me. It would be unfortunate to lose power.
I have a 110/90 on the rear now, and a 90/90 on the front. I was thinking I would go 110/90 on both.
It basically just matches my front wheel to the rear one.

I swapped out a set of wheels with 4.00x18 rear and 3.50x18 front on stock rims on my 360
The handling is noticeably 'strange' after stock size tyres on stock rims

I'll try to complete PJ's definition of strange . From 4.00 rear and 3.25 front to 4.00 front and rear on similar rounder profiles ...

Hunted a bit but only if you were looking for it . It was slow to turn in and rapid changes of direction at speed were a question just how much effort to gain how much result . In other words a disconnect between the contact patch and the bars as well as slow to start turning . One more odd bit . below 10 mph it took on a whole new life as a scary balancing act making turning into driveways off city streets an adventure . Once the tires were worn in the hunting in a straight line all but disappeared but the quirky turn in remained .
There was an unexpected benefit . It slid so predictably that you could initiate a drift with both feet up and never feel like you were going to be catapulted off .

Stay with 90/90 front unless you need a loss in performance and handling.

If you fit wider rims things won't be so bad, will still slow the steering down but wont be so unsafe
You'll really need WM3 rims back and front for it to work, get some alloy rims from Mikes XS

I went with a 100/90 on front and a 110/90 on the rear. Rear is stock. Front tire was out of stock in the stock size for the tires I was getting. I'll report on how it feels when I get the bike back tomorrow.

I rode the bike around a bit. I didn't notice it being sluggish or slower on acceleration or take off. Turning may bit a bit slower, but still felt quite nimble.
The tire sizes are 100/90/18 on the front and 110/90/18 on the rear. Rear is stock, front is one size larger.
The tires are Shinko 512, and they feel amazing compared to the vintage style tires that were on it. I recommend them, for sure.
Don't have a picture with me at the moment. Smart phone is not cooperating. More to come...

Carolinaboy,
Are you parting your bike out?
I see your selling seat and rear-sets.
The bike willbe a bit twitchy at lower speeds and just weird at higher speeds(60+)

No, just going a different direction with the seat and keeping the stock footpegs for now.
