It's a great seat, especially for the money....dunno any 'glass house that can touch it for the price esp. since it's got the upholstery already. I've got three of them sitting in storage for use later (I stocked up) and the worst one of the three is still far better than "acceptable" with the largest markout being something like a 1/4" long and 1/16" wide nick thru the gelcoat surface.
As well...these are light. I've seen what some others sell and they are certainly made of fiberglass but that doesn't mean they are well made. If i were to venture, these are laid up and run thru an autoclave. There's no voids, no ridiculously thick parts....just strong and uniform.
Go for it, you'll be pleased even if you DO have to sand it and repaint..
