Well... since I'm having challenges finding the factory-original green metal-flake paint for my planned seat pan swap (as well as someone I trust to shoot it), I'm thinking about trying this out for V.1.0 of my '71 CB500F project - anyone ever use one of these and can review it? Looks pretty comfy, as well as a straight bolt-up (definite plus).
Never actually ordered for them - I can usually find the same thing cheaper elsewhere. never seen this particular seat anywhere else before though - if anyone knows anything about where it comes from any info would be appreciated. Thanks! -Matt
If I'm looking at the right ones they look like the seats sold on eBay from Vietnam. I ordered one from eBay for my CB360. It took a few weeks to arrive but I have no complaints about the seat. The guy who sells them has them made in Vietnam but he's in California. Do a search on here for "eBay Vietnam seats." If you order one from him he'll communicate with you via email or by phone and answer all your questions. I may be selling mine in the future bc I want to change the look of my bike not bc there's anything wrong with the seat. It did bolt right on to the bracket hinge for my original seat. I hope this helps.
Yeah it really does - I found the Vietnamese seller on eBay and wondered if he were just using some sort of "stock" photo. So the actual seat looks like the pics? Can you speak to the build quality and overall comfort? Sounds like the fitment was OK (something many - but not all - review also confirm). Thanks!
I'm satisfied with the build quality and comfort. The foam used is on the stiffer side but i prefer that to a softer feel. I'm writing this from my iPhone so pics take a while to load but if you search New Member in Miami, FL you'll see a picture of my bike.
