APRIL 2012 DO THE TON BIKE OF THE MONTH - NOMINATIONS

Hi guys, thanks so much for the nomination! Isabel isn't quite done yet though, true she is registered and roadworthy, but I haven't had a chance to get some decent shots of her (still recce'ing atm) and trust me, the seat makes all the difference! So if I can respectfully decline for this month, because by next month she'll be able to be seen in all her glory properly, and I'd like to do her justice.

Cheers.

Hey schlumph were did you find those wheels

a very good man from japan let me have the wheel of the GX750 for a not so reasonable prize.
but it is original (1J7)

Putting Rich and Pete up in the same month, thats unfair to me as a voter :(. Good luck guys, both well deserved!!!

I think CrescentSon's "Ground Resistance" bike is close enough to finished to nominate, it would be finished if not for the course of vaccinations it forced him to endure from close exposure. ???

Can I get a "HELL YEAH"? ;D

Ok - hang tight and no more nominations. Have to tally this up and see where we're at.

I'd like to confirm if Ground Resistance has carbs etc. yet. I think it's fair to suggest that 'roadworthy' should at a minimum include the bike is running and effectively 'complete' in its assembly. Fine tuning and nut tightening aside, if it's missing fundamental components like carbs, I think it's premature to include it. Next month is a whole 'nother contest so it's not like we won't have another chance soon.

Yes, let's not have Rich and Crescent in the same month. Don't make me choose between the two!

Wow thanks guys!

Wow......thanks a lot fellas. I'm truly flattered. Honestly, I'm speechless to be nominated and this time I accept. Aside from some small stuff here and there, the bike is done for a while.

And I would like to nominate Pete's GS450. For those of you that haven't followed along, he makes everything look like it's from the factory. I have a heck of a time trying to post pictures from my phone (can somebody help me out with this please?) but here's the link to his thread with the most recent "full body" pics:

Rich, very flattered by your nomination, and yes I accept :D

Can't see my 450 knocking your GR off though, it's awesome and I love it!

I've been short on time so haven't checked out any threads other than those I've subscribed to lately, so apologies for my tardy acceptance and thanks for the PM Rich :-[

Don't worry mate, unfair to me too... I'm stoked to be nominated but want Rich's GR to win... how does that work? ::)

MY BAD!

I was so blinded by the awesomeness, that I missed the lack of carbs.
I withdraw the NOM NOM nomination.

If you can locate them, post them up in the voting thread when it's made and I'm sure Tim will put up a nice one for the ballot.
