April 2016 BOTM Voting

Congrats to all and of course to Drewski. I needed to vote for two bikes this month and I think that's a sign that it was a good month. In lots of ways Agent's bike is the epitome of what motorcycle riding and modification is all about. That thing has been dragged all over the world and subjected to all manner of abuse and it just keeps evolving.

Most of our "builds" barel get past Starbucks on a warm summer evening, and that Rolling Oilfield just keeps on keeping on.

Drewski had to win with that bike which captures the pure badassery that is a well modified Z. A perfect mix of seventies superbike and modern technology.

Dmable did a nice job with the 650 but against those other two contenders, that just wasn't a fair fight this month.

You know, when you set out to build something here that pleases yourself, you never really know if anyone else is going to share in your taste or your style. You trust that the end result of your labour will, in the very least, please you!!

Over the course of the Project, people here will chime in with criticism, suggestions and encouragement. Those that really like what you're doing will stick with you to the end. That's really cool... and adds to the fun!

Should you get nominated for BOTM, you're now letting your creation stand against other valued and appreciated bikes from within our community. That's a tough place to be actually. The more unique your build, the tougher it's likely to be to garner the support across the board you'll need to 'win the vote'. I know what it's like to loose the 'popularity vote' for the Banner. It's not very gratifying, but just remember... that's NOT why you built it in the first place!! Enjoy the uniqueness of what you have! Be pleased with the fruit of your labour! It runs, it's safe, its cool and you're having fun! That's the main thing. 8)

If more people would take more pix, and tell us more detail about their bikes and their builds here EVERY DAY, it would make the competition even more interesting than it already is. I suppose that would make the voting harder, but it's not supposed to be easy!

I was surprised I even got the nomination so I'm happy with that. Next build will be bigger and better. I've learned a lot and have gotten a tremendous amount of help on here so I thank everyone for that. Congrats to the other nominees and of course, Drewski. Both killer bikes with a great build.
