With your wrists in line with your ankles, it almost looks like you're preparing Fo a fraternity initiation.

it would be easier to steer if your arms were straight... so perhaps the clipons, a bit lower... say by the front axle bolt?...

;D

oh.. and by the way those guys are oogling at the dude in that position.... I dont think Id want to be part of that frat!!..

If you put some bearings in a handlebar (kind of like on rearsets) you could just steer right off the axle! Put some little guards on there so you don't lose a finger in a spoke!

Ethanol, That's a great picture any idea what the bike is or what the picture was about? Those odd pus pull narrow bars look like a Land Speed Record bike that would have been inside a streamliner or at least a narrow dustbin fairing. I'm guessing late fifties early sixties.

In 1967 Signore Minarelli hired Otello Buscherini to drive their record- special, a membrane controlled 2- stroke with 4- speeds. Buscherini, weighing just 48 kg, did beat Kreidlers record from 1965, covering the quartermile in just 18:80:50, trapspeed 77,022 km/h.

Ah yes...old sprint bike! Definitely NOT built for comfort...or in this case control in anything but a straight line. heh...they go to wacky extremes to get speed from dinky little engines....

pretty aerodynamic, but they could have stepped it up with his arms extended, superman style.

I'm a big dude (6'5" 200lbs) but I love small 2-stroke engines and the stuff that can be done with them. Absolutely amazing. But remember cheating in sports isn't limited to HGH and roids in baseball. Wouldn't be surprised if some of those 50cc racers were a little... pumped up. Still love what you can do with a 2-stroker.

hit a bump and that bike would sock you in the face. :D but man those 50cc bikes are fast 140mph dang

for comparison, a cb350 with a fairing and a well built motor would be lucky to hit 115.

now i want to build myself a streamliner.... damn it hoof hearted! you got the top speed bug well settled in my mind...
