Assault by Redwing shocks?

Anyone know anything about these? Can't find anything via Google. They are the height I need, just want to make sure they aren't junk before I buy. They seem like a good deal if they are quality.

considering real redwing shocks run around $130 ish, i would guess those are fake or knock offs, might be worth the $50 though :)

I would prefer these for $130 - on ebay,

Ha! I don't think I need shocks with jet packs attached since this bike will probably never go fast than 40mph around the city. I'm going to try the $50 ones. They have to at least be as good as my current rusty 35 yr old shocks. Plus these don't have that top bell cap thing, which is a good thing.

Well thats cool. They just look really cool and they will fit just about anything, I think the eyelets on at least one end is interchangeable for the varying shock styles, so they should fit just about anything. But I hear ya with the $50, $120 is a bit steep for a set of shocks on a small bike. Let us know how the other shocks work out. -MBS

Thanks for the help, they're on their way now. Will let you know if they're any good. As an added bonus they should lower the rear 3/16", for a super-noticeable low profile look :).

For anyone interested, a couple of my buddies run these shocks, one on a 900f and one on a Seca 750, both have held up REALLY well on heavy bikes that get flogged hard. I have a set waiting for my 500 (if I ever get it finished...) and have ordered a second set for my XS850.

Highly recommended for the $$

Yeah I know a guy who is happy with them also. I am on the fence about dropping the cash for them as I don't really "need" them. I have new shocks on my 750 cafe already.

Got the Assault shocks. They are a bit heavier than the stock cb200 shocks but the spring is also beefier and the damper is a bit wider. I don't know how they'll perform but I think the bigger size will look good on the bike.

Are you saying you can swap out the small end with a clevis? Anyone have these and know for sure? Been looking for something like this for my 450

I have a friend who bought a set, I will double check that the swap can be done. Won't find out until Tuesday though, tied up til then. -MBS

Sweet can't wait to see it. -MBS

The lower eye on those ebay reservoir shocks can indeed be swapped out for a clevis, as well there's a spacer or two that allow you to play with ride height also.

You guys are right, those resevoir shocks do look pretty slick.
