yeah thats some total bs right there, unfortunately traffic laws in the state of ga are written with a bit of ambiguity that never quites works out in our favor. Unless of course you go to court and actually have a judge that is willing to listen, but honestly 90% they will take the cops side and read the law in a way thats favorable to them.

Most cops here in south ga are the same way instead of doing their jobs they go out and set up little traps like that. Usually it's all good if you know someone down here though, fairly easy to get off the hook. Probably not so much in a more populated area like north ga tho. Also cops push mongo!

I just moved to North Georgia so I guess I'll have to be cautious.
