Aussie 72' CB450 Brat/Cafe Inspired Build

Looks great!! Here in Western Australia a plate that's not vertical enough will land you $1200 and 7points...it's so hard to try and get a tidy rear end that's still (vaguely) legal.

I had my fabricator create a "floating" license plate and tail light mount that hangs off the back slightly so it acts as a fender and still keeps the plate legally angled.

Beautiful job there ^ I'm mounting mine similarly since it would be otherwise covered by the speeder seat pan I'll be using

Bit of a lack of action on here recently, moving house will do that. But I'm back into it now!

Got my plug back and am stoked with how its ended up!

Battery box also has been made up and fits well, perhaps a little snug between the frame rails but I suppose that is better than the alternative.

Rectifier/Regulator arrived from the states, big thank you to Sonreir for the great product and making international shipping seem easy! Hopefully my mounting is acceptable.

Moved the ignition too, thought it would be difficult but thankfully there was enough length that nothing needed to be extended.

Few more of the wiring. Feel free to critique as I am very new to this!

I also found a little wire going from the triple clamps to the spedo mount, couldn't be more than 10cm long. Anyone know what it is? Earth maybe?

yep the little wire is ground. maybe for the gauge lights? I think I remember.

The tray looks nice.

Are you gonna have to find a spot to fit the starter solenoid or is this now a kick start only bike?

Ahh well that makes sense now. Thanks!

Yes it's kick only, I've always liked the idea, from kicking over dirt bikes since I was a kid I suppose.

Black wire under the triple grounds the handle bars so the switches on the bars work. ;) They are rubber mounted after all.
