Coast to Coast
hello gang,

i am heading down to the toronto bike show next weekend, on sat the 8th.
i am wondering where i could get some avons for my cb500f, a number of a place or some one that has a set that will be at the show.

what are the prices that some of you guy/gals have payed for them?

my sizes are 100/90/19 and 120/90/18.

thanks,
later.

one more question?
should i go with 110/90/18 on the rear, which i think is the stock sizing. or go with the 120/90/18 which does fit but is wider?
same as frt, right now i have a 90/90/19 on the frt, stock size. but looks to narrow for me, so a 100/90/19 would be fine and fits.
what do you all think,
expesive purchases and want to be sure on ride and quality.
thanks for your input,
later.

oh its a cb500f.

I have a GT750 Suzuki and use the 90/90-19 front and 120-90/18 rear. More than enough tire. I corner hard and deck the pipes all the time and trail brake a lot and scrub off speed with the front tire a lot going into corners. These sizes on that heavy bike never let me down. Avon Road Riders.

thanks guys,
i believe that i will be going with the 120/90/18. but the frt tire 90/90/19, just seems to skinny to me, the 100/90/19 has a little bit more meat. to me looks better, but will it affect the ride etc...
i am avons 100 percent, just would like to heir more about the 500/550 ride with them.

thanks,
later.

you want to be carfull puting a bigger tire then ment for your rim because puting a bigger tire will buble which means that when you turn and lean the bike will want to push you.. sorry if i cant explin my self.. the bike will want to push you instead of you pushing.. does that make sence?

I'd stick with stock - 90 is plenty wide up front. I went 100 front 110 rear, but kind of wish I'd gone 90 up front to lighten the handling a bit. Bike rides well however, and is plenty flickable in the corners.

No issue with grip either.

thanks guys,
i ended up going to the toronto show on the 8th, sat.
ended up going with the 100/90/19 and 120/90/18. 404 dunlops.
nice tread pattern, and good for riding.
i got a good deal, and could'nt find any avon for my bike there. i think it will work just fine, not i big cornering tire but will hold enough for me.

any way, thanks for the info. and tim i love that pic..
later.
