Bar end mirror hardware alternative?

I installed one mirror correctly, but the other one didn't go so well and now the hardware is irreparably damaged. Does anybody know if hardware stores carry the 'spreaders' provided with mirrors when purchased? I would rather not have to buy another set just to replace the hardware, any suggestions welcome!

I still have some hardware from some mirrors I installed on a bike. Send me a pic and description of the item you need and I'll see if I have it. - Info@MXSeatPro.com

these are the ones i bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BLP8OQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I basically need the nut and the two spreaders, as the bolt and actual mirror escaped any damage. Hope this helps - http://imgur.com/ojPpvPs

you can mount the mirrors ON the bars as well as opposed to in them, just in case you cant find what you need

Wow I feel like an idiot for not realizing this! Will definitely do this in the meantime but still look for new hardware (don't like the 'open' look at the end of my grip).

i agree... if you end up liking the mirror on the bar you can grab a set of bar ends for like $5 and call it a day.

just use some fuel hose about 1-1/4" long with a nut on the inside preferably a nut with a built in flange washer
the hose squishes and secures the mirror every bit as secure as the metal oem unit

If you stripped the little conical nut you can add a flanged nut after it, just trim the nut down a little bit so you can catch the threads.

Bought a bar end (not the mirror, just the end) for 10 bucks and just swapped out that hardware, worked like a gem! Thanks everybody for the input!
