Bar end mirror parts

When installing a new bar end mirror the aluminum piece the expands inside the handle bar for a tight fit strippped. Where can I buy these?

May be easier to find a longer screw and then put a nut on back of the aluminum tapered piece. Not sure if those tapered bits can be bought separately.

Hear hear - I've done this before as well. You could also re-tap the aluminum tapered nut with a larger thread. That stuff is all quick-and-dirty from China and not made of replaceable parts.

A new screw and retapping is definitely an option but hopefully someone knows of a source for the part. I am not sure what the part is called? I guess I could look for a cheap bar end as well.
 
another option is a legnth of fuel hose that fits well both the bolt and inside of the bar
just a nut on the inside and when you tighten it down holds as well as anything
