Battery mounting

Been Around the Block
I have a sealed battery and am having some fitment issues. I know one can mount a sealed battery on it's side, terminals facing horizontal not vertical, but are there any issues that a side mounted battery might have? Shorter life span, leakage? Anyone have theirs mounted on it's side? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've got mine mounted on it's side. I know there's a few other guys around on this site that have theirs that way too. If it's an AGM (absorbed glass mat) sealed battery, there's no liquid anyway, it stays suspended in the glass matting. Being on it's side won't affect battery life.

There are a few different kinds of sealed batteries. Do you know what kind you have?

It's VRLA for sure. The manufacturer claims that all their batteries are AGM, so I'm inclined to believe it is.

All Power-Sonic batteries feature:

+ Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology for superior performance
