Battery Terminal Screws

Hey,

I was wondering if the screws on the battery terminals are any specific type. As in any specific composition, they feel a little softer then the other screws but that may just be due to the terminals themselves.

My neg terminal screw fell when I was hooking the battery back up and i can't seem to find where this @%#* thing went.

They are brass with a lead coating (so don't put them in you mouth)

haha, i figured there was something different with them. shucks then I'll have to look for an appropriate replacement if i can't find this one.

Is the thread count different like all the other screws on the bike? I'm guessing that'll be a hamper on just going to the auto parts store down the street and getting one.

i never knew that! i have used just reg bolts to replace them in the past without a problem... learned something nw PJ!

Any screw should do the trick so long as it isnt painted but probably lead coated ones would be better.
