BCR's Customer Bike: Dante D's GB400 "tanning mahine"

We never really do commission bikes, but since the owner of this bike is a close friend of the BCR gang, we decided to accept the challenge and did some minor mods to this awesome Thumper. This GB400 already came with cafe set up directly from Honda factory, but the owner wanted a more individual look. He wanted to turn this honda cafe thumper into a more vintage brit style rocker cafe.

What we did was fitted our own vintage style number plate w/flyscreen and fitted the headlight exposing the ring. We made a custom seat that would tilt and lock just like the stock seat. We removed the front directionals and fitted a more clean bar end turn signals. The tank and side covers were stripped of its original paint and was sent out to get chrome for a more bare metal look. And finally, the stock exhaust was switched to a loud BCR full stainless exhaust with trap disc silencer w/dummy pea shooter tip. And the headers were wrapped with thermo wrap to lower down the temp.

Did you build that trap disc silencer yourself, or is it a Supertrapp? The reason I ask is that I may want to build a pair of small ones for the 400 if the straight pipes are too loud. I understand the concept, and honestly it's pretty simple. I've got connections, so fabrication is no biggie. Just wondering....

I'm with TonUpSoldier, bike looks amazing...... for a Honda. ;) Nice work!

Wow, you are pretty much assured a sunburn on the bottom of your chin and cromagnon unibrow if you don't slather on the SPF 1000. That is a sweet ride!

That is the kind of exhaust I was imagining for my CB750, although I was not quite sure what I wanted until now.... Where do I put my order in?

WHAT THE HECK IS MR BENJIE DOING HERE??!?!?! This is sooo good! Welcome to the group (lol I'm sort of a newbie too).....I quite love the stuff you do. The tanks you make are amazinggg!!!

Looking at those round mirrors, I feel like mounting my OEM mirrors back on my Enfield for a change :)

VERY nice! What more can you say? ??? ;D

Yeah, it definitely needs a sun screen dispenser put on the bike somewhere. Benjie is probably working on it as we speak. ;D

thanks for the compliments guys. We try our best.

The exhaust, we made it ourselves even the trap disc set up on the muffler, and yes even the disc. Its actually similar to the poquito silencer on our bike except the muffler is smaller on this bike. It has a loud rattle pump sound which i think sounds great on twins or thumpers.

Just go check out our website (www.benjiescaferacer.com) we have our email address there or send me a PM

Yeah, i told the owner to make sure he uses sunblock when using this bike. I think the tank might even work as a frying pan. Just kidding. The bike is sweet and surely gets a lot of attention specially with the chrome tank and kick ass exhaust sound. The chrome tank actually inspired me to make a stainless tank, but with painted top similar to BSAs. Might use it for our harley project.

thanks Gordon, but no need for using "MR". too formal. :) Like your bike and congrats on your bike being in the magazine. Forums are very helpful. I go to forums once in a while when i have free time or when i do research for a next project bike or even product development.
