Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Once you get there man I hope you dig it. ;D

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Gotta say I dig it. I wouldn't have belived it possible but BTC is rising to a new higher level.

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Well worth the wait Troy. So is everything on schedule for Mountainfest?

Or is BTC going to live up to it's name? ;)

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Nice Troy, Can't wait to see her in person. Love the fact you shaved off the Honda, you'll have so many people scratching their heads, it's awsome.

Cheers,

Maritime,

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

hell ya loveing the stance! you should have him come by your place and stripe our bikes, he can make some extra Cash and we can get some striping done!

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Troy the bike looks sweet and the bars are sick. thanks for the kind words and if you need anything let me know. also I found a tank for you but the guy wants a pertty penny for it.

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Troy, that stance on the the bike is so awesome. Just amazing your attention to details. Love, love the build progress on this.

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. You know I wanted these lines from the get go but getting here with this damn frame hurt my head. Like I said before no turning back now ;D

Yep its still on Big R. If I have to pull some all nighters to get her done I will. Hope it doesn't come to that though.

Hey Joe i was talking to Ethan tonight and trying to get him to come over during the get together. Right now he is striping everthing in site to get some brush time. I think everytime he picks up a brush he gets better. Hopefully it will work out that he can be here.

Josh I have to tell ya the bends you put in these bars are impressive. Jason has a mandrel bender at work and I still catch him caressing them. Sick work bro. Thanks for thinking of me but I fell in love with this tank. Maybe on the next build I'll have you slice and dice me a tank. Thanks again

Ok fellas and gals not much to report from today but it did move forward a little

With the top motor mounts now complete the rear supports could be cut away. Time to finish the backbone to the lower frame rails and fab up a rear motor mount

rear motor mount fabd. Real simple and clean
(Not shown is a tube that will be welded to this and then to a piece of split tubing. Then it will get bolted to the frame)

From here it will get tacked together. Since this will be seen Jason is going to tig it.

Since I had my camera I took a couple of extra shots

The seat hing and mount. The bottom welds still need attention but I really like how clean this looks

Front tank mount (will use acorn nuts for a clean look)

Ethan pin striping everything

This is Troy's son Jake. He left for a wedding for a couple days, and I'm minding the place while he's gone. Thanks, and I'll pass it on to him.

That would be way too funny. The first thing out of Troy's mouth would be "WTF???" Welcome aboard Jake.

Re: 360 beat the clock 06.11.10

Hey guys I think Jake posted just long enough to let you all know I was gone. Most of the time he likes to just check out the threads but it was cool that he jumped in here and gave a post. Hope you all don't mind. Wish he could hang out here with us more often but I know he can't because he is busy as hell. Anyhow, He told me to find a computer and check out the grips.
They are very cool Mike. Hell ya I'll give em a try. Much appreciated bud.

Much appreciated Chris. Cool to get to see the inside of that swinger. Having it already stretched made it much easier to do the frame work. But yeah man thanks for the props.

Well, as you all already know, I took a few days off to attend a wedding. I returned today and got right back to work.

Finished up the rear motor mount and got it ready for jason to tack it together

Brake pivot and brake switch, battery box mount, and rear fender are all that is left then the frame will be stripped and put on the table to be finished up. I hope to be painting the frame by mid-week. Fingers crossed...
