Thanks guys. Much appreciated. You know I wanted these lines from the get go but getting here with this damn frame hurt my head. Like I said before no turning back now ;D
Yep its still on Big R. If I have to pull some all nighters to get her done I will. Hope it doesn't come to that though.
Hey Joe i was talking to Ethan tonight and trying to get him to come over during the get together. Right now he is striping everthing in site to get some brush time. I think everytime he picks up a brush he gets better. Hopefully it will work out that he can be here.
Josh I have to tell ya the bends you put in these bars are impressive. Jason has a mandrel bender at work and I still catch him caressing them. Sick work bro. Thanks for thinking of me but I fell in love with this tank. Maybe on the next build I'll have you slice and dice me a tank. Thanks again
Ok fellas and gals not much to report from today but it did move forward a little
With the top motor mounts now complete the rear supports could be cut away. Time to finish the backbone to the lower frame rails and fab up a rear motor mount
rear motor mount fabd. Real simple and clean
(Not shown is a tube that will be welded to this and then to a piece of split tubing. Then it will get bolted to the frame)
From here it will get tacked together. Since this will be seen Jason is going to tig it.
Since I had my camera I took a couple of extra shots
The seat hing and mount. The bottom welds still need attention but I really like how clean this looks
Front tank mount (will use acorn nuts for a clean look)
Ethan pin striping everything
Ordered some grips to match the new striping but not sure if these will; get used. We'll see..

Hey guys I think Jake posted just long enough to let you all know I was gone. Most of the time he likes to just check out the threads but it was cool that he jumped in here and gave a post. Hope you all don't mind. Wish he could hang out here with us more often but I know he can't because he is busy as hell. Anyhow, He told me to find a computer and check out the grips.

Well, as you all already know, I took a few days off to attend a wedding. I returned today and got right back to work.
Finished up the rear motor mount and got it ready for jason to tack it together
tacked together and ready to Tig
finished notching the tubing for the backbone and the bottom rail support. Here is jason tacking it up
Brake hub stay finished
Brake pivot and brake switch, battery box mount, and rear fender are all that is left then the frame will be stripped and put on the table to be finished up. I hope to be painting the frame by mid-week. Fingers crossed...
