Beautiful Norton

This is the most beautiful Norton race bike I have ever seen. If you are a road racing fan, especially a vintage road racing fan, you'll no doubt know the name Collin Seeley and this build is a tribute to him and his race bikes. Amazing.

It sure is. Too much for me to comment on in inquiry!

I do want to know more about those forks though....particularly the front caliper mounts/brakes. Never have seen anything like that but it's pretty!

I waited a few days as I was curious to see if anyone would comment on the fact that as beautiful as it is it really is a Norton powered special. Rather than a Norton. Despite my picky attitude I would love to have it in my garage.

An immediate post war Inter.

As I said all racing Nortons are beautiful. I just have a preference for singles.

A Norton powered special is what it's supposed to be, as this is what Collin Seeley was known for. No one claimed otherwise.

I just think he meant that this is not a Norton. It is a Norton powerplant. It would probably be titled as a special construction if it were ever titled. Seeley made some awesome frames. I prefer the Foale frames as far as a performance oriented design, but they never were as pretty as Seeley's. Again, beautiful bike.

No he wasn't. His original frames were made for G50 and 7R motors and that's what he became famous for and from there he made frames for all sorts of odd bikes from Fath-URS to Yamaha (YamSel) and even the odd Goldie motor in a Mk111/IV frame. I'd like one of his GT750 frame kits. I rode a Seeley CB750 for a memorable race weekend many years ago and that was amazing. For sure, Norton twins are probably more common in Seeleys today but not so much back in the day IIRC.
