Bent Frame

Didn't realize it until i was knee deep in this project but the frame of my cb360 is bent. The steering tube is pushed back and the backbone is bent underneath. And the down-tube appears to be somewhat bent as well.

Can i have someone bend it back?
Does anyone know someone in Indiana that does frame straightening for cheap?
I got quoted for 450 bux from a guy in tennessee. Might as well just get a new frame for that price.

Thanks.

Cheap isn't the quality I would search for when shopping for someone to straighten a frame.

It is not common practice when a stock frame has several bends because as you said, it is far more cost effective to find another frame. Unless you can do it yourself.

There is one on ebay right now for $100 in MI. Would be cheaper for you to drive there and pick it up than spend the $450.
Also watch the Selling section of DTT. People are parting these out pretty often.

I have a 74 CB360 frame, roller actually, I'm willing to part with cheap but there is no title. Pm me if you're interested. I'm in the Chicago area.

Just checked the fork stanchions today without removing the lowers. It looks like they are slightly bent as well (Less than 1mm). Does anybody know the service limit for these tubes? Seems good enough for as fast as the bike is.

Also is there a way to tell if the triple tree is bend? I checked for cracks or other damage and they seem ok.

Also looking for advise as to what else to check before getting in this project any further.

Thanks,

Tyler
