Best way to buy/install a cut-to-desired-lenght chain for a build?

Well with the custom swingarm almost on I will need to put a new chain on her.

Thing is I dont know what lenght chain I will need and I have never bought a chain that wasnt the lenght I needed already.

So what the best way to go about this?

I should add that I would like to use a chain that require as little lubing as possible.

O-ring or X-ring are very maintenance free but make for a slightly larger chain. I know certain bikes can't run them. As for the length, you can never buy a chain that is too long. You just need to shorten it to length once you get it which you just need a grinder to do, it's super easy.
