Here is my latest XV750 project, stock size front wheel and tire. Also, my original bike with the rear to front conversion. Which look do you prefer?

Little

The rear to front looks so much "fatter" . The Line of the bike, and stance are better.

It looks better with the rear up front.
BUT it would
Look even better with the front out back.
Ie both 18"

This! Would look awesome with 18's front and rear.

Honestly I like the first picture with the thinner front wheel. The fatter front is interesting looks very Exile'ish however I am not fond of the tread patterns.

I like the smaller one. The big one does look Exile-ish, but doesn't look like it has the fast stealthy apearence to match the tail.

I like the smaller tires. BTW how's it handle with the big tires? Looks like it would handle like shit with the big tire. Maybe shit is a harsh word, but it's easier to type than "not as well". ;D

Big - and in fact I'd shoot for a bigger rear wheel also. It's styled like a performance bike, it should have the wheels / tires to match :)

I like fat tires on some bikes, but on bar-hoppers not something that looks like it would be more at home on the twisty back-roads of Alabama.

I like the fat front end, mostly because its different and I've never loved the swept spoke pattern of those stock wheels, which the larger diameter accentuates. I agree that the tread patterns of both are homely as well. Either way, I love this bike's stance and tail, though.

Definitely the stock front, I would also prefer 18" F & R with the non swirl wheels. I think the fat tire thing has run it's course. Bike looks great though.

I really like the big fat rear to front, but the only left side one-disk brakes like shit with all the mass of it`s heavyness.
Mine is getting a GSXR front with 2 320mm disks and radial calipers and is even getting a 180 rear and 17 inch front and rear.
It`s also shaft driven , been thinking of a trick for other wheels and a wide rear tyre almost for 5 years now and it seems it`s going to work!

Will get you guys informed in a few months

But my bike looked exactly like yours, you have done a great job! with either front.

Well ya know what I like ;)

Have a 18x2.2 Seca (swirl spoke) rear wheel I want to try to install with my kit ... IMO another improved variation to the OE 19 front. A quick tire search didn't yield a lot for 18 fronts though.

For tires take a look at Avon Roadriders or Continental Conti Go both available in 18" front and very good handling. I have the Conti Go on my Cafe CX500 18" front and rear.
