1977 BMW R75/7 cafe/buffet racer (depending if the saddle bags are off or on)

Mojo

The name just seemed right. A mojo is a small bag, a type of magic charm, containing botanical, zoological, and/or mineral curios, petition papers, and the like. It is typically worn by a person under the clothes. So my Mojo is an aluminium, steel, rubber & leather vessel containing fluids of oil, gas and no small amount of my blood, sweat & tears and not mention samples of my skin.

dan whats a buffet racer... this is a new term to me ???

Napalm, because when doing the carb conversion and timing a new points plate all at the same time she belched burning gas out of the #3 carb all over the place. Visibile backfire + bad float needle and seat = EPIC FAIL

My SO coined that one... saddle bags make it a buffet racer... you can load up the crisps... not just pints ;)

My xs650 is named "The Kid" because it is small for me, being 6'1" and 205. And my 88 cbr1000f Hurricane is named "Fiamma" which is "flame" in Italian. I am Italian and it it recently caught on fire while I was riding. Burned my favorite jeans!

The first time a gal I knew saw my '76 CB 750, she started giggling and said "your bike's name is Cecil." Don't know why that stuck.

My current bike, an '83 Honda V45 Sabre in the ubiquitous wine red of early 80's Hondas - now fading from years in the desert - was dubbed "the pink torpedo" by a young lady I know. I guess the Spinal Tap reference is why that one stuck.

That's enough to make you start tearing bikes apart and re-imagining them.

my Vmax is generally refered to as the 'weemax' as, despite being a fairly large motorcycle in its own right, with me on it, it kind of shrinks and looks like a wee little version of one (i'm 6'5" and about 125kg - 275lb)

Like school yard nick-names, I think my bike's name needs to come from you guys. ( Itchy Butt was already taken )

Not me.

I started calling my 1973 Triumph T140V "Trumpy" because the common Triumph nickname sounds a little goofy, not very cool or serious, and after watching it break down half a dozen times I couldn't take it so seriously as a bad ass machine. Then it picked up a new name as the trickster started to seem to mess with me, having small problems at the most perfectly imperfect times. I now call him Trumpelstilstskin, because the little imp seems to get a kick out of my misery at times, keeps giving me gold but asking for my blood, sweat, and tears in return...

My GL500 is known as Left4Dead, it was an abandoned bike left in a parking lot for three years. My other project, a 79 CM400a, is "Uncle Billy's Bike" as he bought it new. Pretty straight forward.
