Bike ran, now suddenly has no spark....please help

So I tore my 1976 cj360t down to bare frame. It was running when I tore it down but poorly because the carbs needed to be rebuilt but it ran good enough. I got everything back together and got it running for one quick ride before the carbs finally caved. I took the carbs off, rebuilt them, reinstalled them, and now I suddenly have no spark. So I do what everyone would do and started tracing the wires. I have power at the ignition, run/stop switch then down into the coils. The points look to be moving fine like they should and I have everything grounded properly. There is just zero power to the spark plugs. So the question is, is it possible that both coils went bad at the exact same time or even at all? Any other things I should check? Thanks

The chances of both coils going bad is highly unlikely. You probably are missing a crappy connection somewhere, bumped something loose and somehow missing it. Put an ohm meter on the points and make sure they are making/breaking. Start at one end, take your time and weed through it. You'll find it.

Make sure the grounding wire for the engine is intact and the connections are clean.

Also check for power going into the coils, from the kill switch. Black/white wire.

+1 on this. I wasn't getting any spark on my 360 and by process of elimination narrowed the problem down to the PO wiring the kill switch up backwards. If you aren't getting any power to the black/white wire with the double terminal that your coils plug in to then that should make identifying the problem a little easier.
