Hey guys, just bought my first bike today. It's a 1974 CL360. planning on making it a cafe racer. i'd post some pics, but it's in boxes so it's not much to look at. Looking for some inspiration here, and places where people pick up their parts. any help would be appreciated!

There are lots of CB/CL360 builds here, past and present, you'll find plenty of inspiration and support. I've been watching, lurking, learning things, collecting parts, and etc. for a long time now and my '75 CL360 will be getting its tear-down soon. Welcome!

Welcome to the site.

Your local Honda dealer will be able to get a fair amount of stuff. If they don't charge for shipping their prices may be competitive as well. Just something to keep in mind. Some internet places I've bought from and had good luck with are:

bikebandit.com (love this site)
z1 Enterprises
CMSNL.com (They're in Holland, but have some parts you may not be able to find domestically)
Dennis Kirk
Western Hills Honda (They have a vintage parts desk)
Dime City Cycles
Roc City Cycles
Fast from the Past
Carpie (cb750cafe.com)
Oregon Motorcycle Parts (for electrics)
leatherup.com

I had bad luck on multiple occasions with Old Bike Barn, but do what you gotta do.

Welcome to the site. The 360 is a pretty basic bike, so it shouldnt be too much trouble for you. Depending on what your plans are at least... Indie has a pretty good list going there. EBay will become a second home as well. Also, take the time to go through some build and tech threads here. You can learn a lot by just seeing what we have broken, and screwed up. ;) The search function is your friend. And one last thing, BUY A MANUAL. Sorry about yelling, but some folks seem to ignore this step and it can prove disasterous. Get a good Clymer, AND a factory manual if you can find one. That is all! Keep us posted man!

thanks guys, i've been searching through the forums and have been seeing some really cool bikes! Thanks for the websites, i'll start checking them out. can't wait for this pile of parts to look like a bike...
