So a few years ago I built this bike based of a 1981 it 175,

Then a few weeks ago I stumbled on this bike built for racing back in the day

So to clean out a lot of the spare parts I have accumulated over the past couple of years I am going to make a race bike based on the a 1979 yz frame and swing arm with a 1993 cr250 motor that I picked up last year, a modified cbr 600 f1 front end (witch bolted straight on with just a small spacer!) that i have laying around and the wheels from a 500 interceptor I had from the Freddie Spensor bike I built. Everything will bolt together without a lot of machining (really good luck on my part). Then custom tank and tail some airtech body, and in the end I hope to have a bike that looks like a hrc/ yamaha home brewed racer inspired by the way ahead of it's time sb1.

Thanks for the interest guys! worked out the rough motor mounts and got a vintage after market expansion chamber from a kawi h1 just mocking it up.

Hey guys its been a while, but was able to get some work done. here is whats been done. First front end is a shortened cbr 600 f1,vf 500 wheel cbr discs and cbr 250 preload adjusters, rear is stock yz with brake arm stay welded on, 500 rear wheel, I only hade to remove about 2mm (I think) from the brake arm and make a axle spacer and it went in like it was made for it! Vtr 250 radiator, the stock cr 250s wouldn't fit. cb 400 tank, Cbr 600 f1 rear sets, added brace on rear sub frame and motor mounts and its standing on its own!!!! Also splurged had a jemco exhaust made.
