Blinkers not flashing

Been Around the Block
Hi so I wired my blinkers up which are led .fitted new led relay .the blinkers come on but don't flash .?? Any ideas anyone .Cheers I'm thinking it could be a duff relay .it's a 2 pin relay I fed one wire from the switch to it then a power wire to the other side the the other two wires from the switch to either side blinkers then all 4 blinkers to earth .

The new indicators do not have enough resistance for the flasher unit to work, either add inline resistors or fit old fashioned bulbs.

Or buy a flasher relay designed to work with LED turn signals.

Different one they have both said they were for led indicators .do you think yours will work

If it said it's for LEDs, it should work OK.

Have you tried swapping which pins are connected to which wires for the flasher? They'll only work in one direction.

Yeah I've tried that too do you think It could be because bike isn't running and battery not getting enough power to make them flash .??

Not likely. LEDs use such a small amount of power, just about any amount of power should get them to work.

Do you have a spare battery on the bench we can use as a tester?

Car battery will work.

Grab your relay, a spare turn signal, and some wire.

You want a circuit like so:

Battery Positive Terminal -> Flasher Relay -> Turn Signal -> Battery Negative Terminal

It should flash if the relay and the light are both functional.

Ok so I tried that it still didn't flash so I tried the old indicators with old relay that was on bike they flashed .so is it still the relay that's no good .

So I'm now on to my 4 relay indicators flash now but are slow does anyone know if I fitted resistors would it make them flash faster .
