Anyone know where I can score a cheap battery for a 1977 R100? The one I priced out is gonna cost $190. Seems kinda pricy.

PepBoys. I picked up one for the Triumph. It was $39.95. Give them your old core and you get $10 back.

IOW, $29.95.

Sure you gotta put the acid in and charge it up but it will be cheap.

Don't even bother with dealers for this stuff... the rest of the parts hurt enough!

I went to a local battery house (they sell alarm backup batteries and the like) I brought in the original cell for size specs and they set me up for about the same price FooFoo mentioned.

Once I filled the battery and charged it I washed it well, taped off a window for the fluid levels and and hit it with a couple of coats of bumper black spray from CT... disapears into the frame work as the side covers on the airheads don't really hide the whole battery.

Try East-Penn Battery which are located in Ajax (just over 5 minutes from the 401) 1(800)668-9303. Had the same problem a couple of years back with my boxer and they had several in stock for about $90-100. ;D Pokey
