We're taking off with "Screwball" the sidecar tomorrow morning for Bonneville SpeedWeek. One of these days I'll do the BUB meet and get over to Miller for the vintage stuff. Finances only go so far and in my case thats not very far. But we will have some cool T shirts.

Went last year, but I seem.to be all out of interested friends this year...

Or I smell bad or something. :-0

I go to the Moto Corsa at Willow Springs each year to keep up with whats new in the vintage scene. Which is exactly what I find. Each year the vintage bikes seem to be getting newer and newer. I'm expecting to find a mag wheeled, delta boxed Manx Norton any year now. This year there was an infestation of CB350s. My problem is that I'm too old and I can never accept a CB350 Honda as vintage.

On the other hand maybe you do smell bad :--)

Thats why I like the Vintage classes down here... not sure if its international but they've got set periods. Theres Post Classic (1963-1972), Forgotten Era ('73-'80), New Era ('81-'89), and then Pre-Modern ('90-'95). Something for everyone and keeps the bikes racing against realistic competitors. I'm sure theres some of the older pre '63 stuff getting around but I'm not sure if anyone races them anymore...perhaps they've all been sidelined and put in display cases...

Dude, that's hilarious. 73-80 is totally the forgotten era.
