Borrani Rims

Hello! I'm a new member. I did an introduction in the "new member board". I don't post on forums, so be patient with me (I spend most of my time working).

Here is where I open a can of worms.

A few years ago I trained to rebuild car wheels at the Borrani factory in Italy. One thing lead to another (long story). I'm the A&M Garage/ Motocicli Veloci Sales Agent.

Motocicli Veloci is the worlds distributor of Borrani motorcycle rims, Fontana brakes, and much much more.

If you have any questions, or need any info fire away.

I'm here to help, and hopefully not get yelled at to much.

I'm rebuilding a small Aermacchi into a vintage road racer and would like to use all Italian parts if possible. I've seen posted in a few places that Borrani alloy rims are now Chinese made and that Borranni just drills them out for the particular customer's application, stamps their name on them, and polishes them. While this is still obviously still some work I was worried about the quality of the alloy. I assume the Chinese-made rims are fine to use but would an older set be of higher quality?

I vintage road race on Borrani Record 14's which are the Borrani's that have been made to the factory's specs, then dimpled, drilled and stamped at the Borrani factory. These rims are good quality. We are slowly phasing these rims out and focusing on the 100% Italian made Record 11's.

I am also the US rep for Motocicli Veloci. I would be glad to help assist you in building a race bike with authentic Italian race parts.

Feel free to PM me.

Ciao.

Im actually looking at a set of Borrani wheels at the moment. I'm working on a Cb750 project with a GSXR 1000 front end and a Ducati S4R rear end.

Looking to pick up a set of M-Ray 6 wheels to suit the Ducati swing arm. Hoping that I will be able to make the front wheel work with the GSXR forks...

Are you able to supply and ship to Australia? And how much?!
