Box of 79 CX500 parts

Hey guys,

I'm moving soon and trying to clear out crap. I've got a box of some small parts for a cx500. Mine was wrecked and the bike was totaled so i am just going to give this away to whoever wants to pay shipping.

Its the internals for two cx500 carbs, i believe complete including diaphragms. There is also a relay in here that should be g2g. The internals should be completely useable for a full rebuild?

I didn't know much about bikes and thought i was having a carb problem when it turned out to be a coil problem. I've also got a good left side coil in here as well.

bozz, do you have a cx500 too or are you just getting the parts for something else? if you have a cx500 i'd be interested in seeing it. also, if i'm remember correctly, we work at the same place. if you're up for it, we should grab lunch some time.

Actually, I have 2.

One is an 82 gl500 silverwing, but the other is a japanese market gl400 which is a sleeved down 78 cx500.

The gl400 is getting the cafe treatment, the gl500 is getting resto'd.

eww, a gl400. you've got to be one of maybe two handfuls of guys in the states with one. i always assumed with the gl that it was a silverwing. never thought to look them up. very interesting. i'll send you a pm.
