Brand new member in NJ

Hey Everyone, I'm Craig. I'm picking up a 1980 CB750k tomorrow, found it on craigslist. The thing has been completely redone, every nut, bolt, and gasket, and also painted. It has just over 6k miles on it (ORIGINAL!) and I believe I'm getting a pretty sweet deal at $1800. Anyways, I'm going to ride it for a week or so, then winterize it and have my friend make two seats for it over the winter. One solo style cafe seat and then also a 2-up bratstyle seat and some sort of way of securing them down with wingnuts or something for easy but safe swapping.

Are there a good amount of NJ members here? I'd love to have some inspiration and encouragement as well as riding buddies!

Welcome to the site! The 750 wouldn't happen to be a red one that was on the PA Craigslist, would it? If so, I've been ogling it for weeks, just didn't have the money.

Nope, I found it on craigslist, but the guy took the ad down since I'm scooping it up tomorrow. I would never buy anything sight unseen, but this thing is FAR too clean for me to pass up as a first bike. This one is flat black with a silver painted frame. oh no way, I'm in east brunswick! just got the bike home today, can't wait to title and register it and get it on the road!
