Take the bike completely apart. Disassemble the engine to make sure everything inside is all right. Then take an angle grinder to the frame and cut off anything that you think you might not need. It doesn't matter if you don't know what it's for.
Take wire cutters to the wiring harness and chop it into bits. You will want to re-wire it anyway to simplify the wiring. Doesn't matter if you don't know anything about wiring or can't read a wiring diagram.
This will help you really learn about your bike and working on them. If you ever get it back together, you will be proud to own a motorcycle that is truly
your bike.
At least, this is what quite a few first time bike owners do, so it must be the right approach.
