Common (and free) mod used to quicken steering response. Lowering in front decreases rake and trail, increases "flickability" and makes it easier to change lines. I did it to my Gixxer 1k by a matter of a few mm front and rear (dropping forks, shimmed rear) and bike handled like a totally different machine.
