budget tank fix

I was givin a scooter and want to do a uber buget fix up.
the tank is bad, did the screws in tank in dryer thing.
now I want to line the tank.
What is super cheap to use.
Has anyone tried rust paint ? or garage floor paint ?
there must be a cheaper sealer than Creme or the other stuff.

Im trying to get it going for $100.
so far 2X $22 for tyres
$15 for a battery
and $15 for spray paint

I need some turn signals and a piece of checker plate for the floor
and i think Ill be golden.

use muriatic acid, don't bother sealing it if you're trying to go super cheap, you'll just end up with a bigger problem than you started with. the acid will get the rust off without hurting the steel (much), and as long as you don't leave the tank half full or empty all the time, it will be okay
