Real bikes are built in garages.
So I was trying to think of an interesting seat to make for my current CB750 project (yes I know I'm long over due for a build thread). I was checking out the fender on an old Vespa one day and thought "hey, that might look cool. " A quick stop and my friends shop produced just what I needed. A beat up vintage Vespa fender that was dying to be reborn into something useful. Here's the build.
Stock fender
After the chop
Bending the pan from some 16 gauge and my awesome ghetto sheet metal brake.
A couple views after welding, clean up and a bit of body filler to hide some ugly spots. I forgot to shoot a photo after I sanded the filler. Sorry.
Sitting on the bike for reference. I still need to chop the back of the frame, but you get the idea.
I love the results. Me and my friend Mark are going to glass some copies this weekend for future use.
