Well hello there friends. Its time to say goodbye to another one of my projects. I'll start with the spec list and then tell you the story

Rebuilt engine - 0 miles (FULL rebuild, rings, pistons, bearings,gaskets, etc)
Rebuilt carbs - new gaskets and aftermarket jets for pod filters and straight pipes
New tires and tubes front and rear
Low tunnel sporty tank. Pictures show moisture rust. It rubs right off.
New Pectcock and fuel lines
New chain
Custom Seat
Custom Headlight
Custom Bars
Custom 4in extended swingarm
Custom rear frame hoop
Custom Shock mounts
fresh paint
ETC ETC ETC
and it doesnt have 35 years of grime all over it. its clean
So here is the story.
I bought the bike in stock condition with plans of making it ridable and then ride for the summer. Well needless to say that didn't happen. I ended up having to rebuild the engine because of some worn out crank bearings. So while i was sourcing parts, i got a little out of hand and started messing with the frame. Long story short, it went from stock to this. All welds are professionally done, although not smoothed out. Engine rebuild was built by myself (7yrs experience with engine building) and all parts used for the engine were OEM
- the previous owner was mistaken, like most of us dealing with the dmv. When he purchased the bike, it was on non-op, but as it went to his name, it came off non op and he didnt know.(elderly man) So needless to say, the bike is still in the DMV system and will cost 700$ to register. I have all the paperwork to make that happen, so it will be painless. No need for a highway patrol inspection or anything. just pay the angry person behind the desk and you got yourself some tags.
Here is what the bike needs to be finished
Tail light
Carb Tuning
Full tank of Gas
Thats it. She is ready to go. I got it to fire tonight with a little help from our favorite friend ethor. But it died shortly after due to the carbs.
