This is my CX500 based Cafe Racer. The bike starts and runs excellently. There is no smoke and it has good compression. The gearbox and clutch work properly. The braking system is excellent, the engine cools well at speed or in traffic, and the bike is a pleasure to ride. Items on bike are professionally painted to a mirror finish or powder coated. It is fitted with Clubman handle bars, new sport tires, British style headlamp and a shorty exhaust system which sounds awesome!

$4,300

Attention to detail is very important to me. This bike turned out gorgeous, has been tons of fun, and will certainly be enjoyed by its new owner.

Seat is fantastic by the way. Did you have it made or did you make it? Any tips?

I am going to venture a guess and say the seat is made by roc city since roc city posted that the seat is his favorite part of bike

That would make sense. Excuse my ignorance.

Nice work on this. Good luck with the sale, I am considering doing a cafe version of a CX after doing the on I did just slightly modded.

The fiberglass part of the seat is definitely Roc City. They are the best I have built multiple bikes and used a few of his designs and they are all amazing. The seat pan is something I just cut out of aluminum and upholstered out of some vintage leather. If you have any other questions about the build I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction. I have done a few CX's now and I'm pretty comfortable with converting them to Cafe's

It appears that you do this semi-proffesionally? If this is the case, I can understand you might not want to discuss your bussiness model, but if you don't mind I, for one, would find it very interesting? Do you specialize in onnly one or two models, I note yo have some a number of CXs? Do ou buy old bikes and Care on spec or do ou usually have a customer before you start? Your price seems low, just thinking how much time you had to put into it? Any thoughts on how big the market is, is it growing, etc?

Again if you do not want to discuss this I undertand.
