Featherbed frame was pretty trashed, wasn't sure to just start fresh or try to put this one back to spec. In the end decided to keep this one and work with what I have to save a real Norton frame. Likely more tubing new than old now, but still a good amount of "limey soul" in there. Had Norton officianado Roger McHardy put it back to spec on his Featherbed specific jig.
OK, I'm not typically one to air my grievences online, but holy shit did I get a run around on this alloy tank from Legendary Motorcycles in Florida! Was told 8 weeks, turned into a year and a half. First tank was so bad that I called to ask about it, then took another 6 months to send out a second tank, which was better, but now leaks at the welded seams. Whatever. I've learned a lesson and I will deal with this leaky thing myself. it sure is pretty, though...
Now pipes. I LOVE Commando S pipes. I ordered a set and will now piss off a hundred Norton guys by cutting them all up to fit the Atlas 90 degree solid mount motor.
