Brought the company to the brink ruin. I hear they lost hundreds of dollars on each one. The history of this is pretty easy to find and almost ran Suzuki out of business...
Whats the deal with this? It looks to be a Richard comic in the picture link and is someone looking for plastic printing services... which I offer.. sooo.. what?

sometimes things like that tend to be great later on, in example, the 300zx twin turbo, nissan almost lost their ass in america because americans just werent buying a 50,000 nissan, sure it was 300hp out of a 3 liter in 1989, but the era was vested in different interests, the 240sx also played a role in that downfall, it didnt sell nearly as well as it should, now the z car and the s chassis (240sx) are super coveted among nissan enthusiasts, thus the return of the 350z, the 370z, and finally the introduction of the GTR into the us market, but i guess in this case suzuki didnt win...oh well, theyre a great company now right?
Of course like other quirky bikes, the people who own them, love them. I've been able to ride a few over the years, they are a basic UJM, they do what they are supposed to do, get from point A to B. Not fast, not too odd, just a pleasant ride that really went nowhere. They are pretty cool to look at. I'd probably own one if I came across one cheap...
$4200.00 for a non-titled, VIN-less Honda with more chrome than a Road Glide and ugly paint, with a seized clutch.
So, buy it, fix it and you still can't insure or ride it? Lotta money for a parts bike...
I have a friend with about five of these bikes. The stock fork angle is a nightmare, they feel like a gyro ball in corners, they just want to stand up, also I think that pic is a little forced perspective, the rear stand and angle might make it look a little severe. He has a stableizer on it. I'd like to give it a shot, but they do bring $.
The "Widowmaker" handle is exaggerated as far as I'm concerned. The "legend" has far exceeded the "experience".
They are cool though, no doubt. 8) Properly set up and maintained, they're a lot of fun and they do attract a crowd. My h2b handles a LOT better today than my h2b did in '77. Problem was, I didn't know any better then.
